“The song itself, what I wrote, hearing that track, kind of evoked all the anxiety I had in a relationship that everybody was watching, everybody was commenting on,” Swift said.
She continued, “You constantly feel like ‘Are we out of the woods yet?'” What will be the next thing? What is the next hurdle? We have to jump over it. Shall we get to next week? “

Singer based out of the Woods on ‘Fragile Relationships’
At the Grammy Pro hearing, Swift went into more detail about the creative process behind making Out of the Woods. The singer-songwriter noted that the song is based on “fragile relationships.”
It was exciting to write about a relationship that you genuinely love, Swift said, ‘Maybe this won’t last, but how long will it last? “Those fragile relationships, there’s something, that doesn’t mean it’s not supposed to happen.”
The singer continued, “How we were all the time living happy memories, crazy memories, or ridiculously anxious times. It was in my head like ‘Are we okay yet?'” Have we arrived? Are we out of this yet? ”

Taylor Swift wrote the song “a different way” compared to previous songs
Introducing the concept of “Out of the Woods” during a Grammy Pro hearing, Swift played the first voice note she’d ever recorded for the song.
Before doing so, Swift explained how she wrote the song, and why the songwriting process for “Out of the Woods” was so different.
“I’m not in the habit of writing for tracking. I know it’s done in pop all the time, but I’ve never written that way,” Swift said.
The singer explained that just before boarding the plane, Antonov sent her the track “Out of the Woods”. While on the plane, Swift ended up writing most of the song.
“And I listen to it, and I love listening to it and I love the buzzing tunes. Because the song came to me right away like it was complete,” she said.
